For those of you that have played before, you know how fun this contest can be....For those who haven't, you may want to join us...
This contest will be limited to the first 30 posters who join up.....Seeing as each poster gets 1 team, we have to have exactly 30 players..
Just like last year, there will be a 200.00 deposit (yours to play with) required at Hollywood.....Hollywood in turn, will put 200.00 in the prize pool for each player entered (30).......The prize pool will consist of 6000.00, which will be awarded to each player making the playoffs, with increasing prizes each round as you move on...
Each player is drawn an NBA team, you will handicap "your" team's games, and your team's games only......Each night they play, the lines will be posted, and you will simply state your team "will" or "won't" cover the spread....if you're right, u get a win, if you're wrong, you get a loss......the regular season will consist of your first 20 games....after everyone has selected 20 games, the top 8 in each conference will make the playoffs, and then go head to head based on seedings just like the NBA Playoffs.....Each round of playoffs will be 10 games, until the finals, which will be 15 games.......
Teams reaching the playoffs, get 100.00, getting to the 2nd round, gets you another 200.00, getting to the next round gets you another 300.00, getting to the finals gets you another 500.00, and winning the contest, gets you another 600.00.....
Also, each night, when u choose if your team covers or not, you will also select the points u think your team will score...if u hit it, u get a 50.00 Bonus Play as well....u can win this as many times as u can hit it......
I am announcing this now, so everyone has a chance to see it, HOWEVER, BJ will NOT be in the office until next Tuesday, therefore DO NOT send your deposit in before then, it WILL NOT COUNT towards the contest.....
You can sign up in this thread, the first 30 will have priority, when Tuesday comes.....You will then have Tuesday, and Wednesday, to get your money in.....If u do not have it in by Wednesday, then on Thursday, the remaining unclaimed spots will be open, but will NOT last long, i can assure you.....
Contest starts on Opening Night of the NBA..........
Once we have 30 people signed up, there is no need to continue to sign up....The first 30 will have a shot for 2 days to get their money in, then its first come first serve........
Anyone who has been in this contest before, knows how fun it is....I expect it to sell out fast......
